If topping the ball off the tee is a problem you have that you would like to rectify, then these three possible causes may help solve the problem.

The three most common reasons for topping the ball can be summed up as follows:

1)Incorrect Ball Position – If you are playing off the tee with the ball teed up and finding you are topping the ball it could be ball position. Either you are standing too far back or similarly you have the ball too far forward and you will be hitting the ball late in the swing with the club face therefore slightly elevated in the follow through and so hitting the top of the ball rather than hitting it square off the tee.

2)Not Checking Your Aim – If you aim too far right when teeing off you are likely to pull out of your shot a little early and too fast, pulling up and causing a reverse weight shift by having you caught too centred in your stance and this results in you topping the ball.

3)Turning in the Backswing – You may want to check your body position and ensure you are not turning too much in the backswing, causing you to swing too long and turning too hard to get the club out in front of you. This will send the club position from outside to inside. If you are pulling left it may bring about reverse weight shift and cause you to top the ball by bringing the club over the ball.

Of course if you have the ball positioned too far back, effectively bringing you too far forward you will be forced to pull out of your shot too early again affecting your stance and weight shift meaning you are pounding down on it as you are also trying to pull up. Again topping the ball is the inevitable consequence.

Ensuring you have the ball correctly positioned will have a beneficial effect on your ability to ensure you stop topping the ball off the tee.

There are always a number of things to work on in your golf game, but don’t over complicate things. Where possible go back to the basics and ensure you are paying attention to the simple things such as body position in relation to the ball or ball position. Don’t over do the backswing and keep it limited to a 3/4 turn if you need to so that you are not overstretching or overswinging and therefore much more likely to top the ball.

It is important to work on and try and master each element of your game before you try and tackle other problem areas.

If you are annoyed with muffing those shots when hitting off the tee, you need to stop topping the ball Now! 12 Golf Shots identified into the following types of shots:

Approach: – Any ball struck from the fairway to the green is termed an approach shot. as a rule this is taken with a proper iron for the distance needed.

Chip Shot: – A shot obviously played from extremely close to the green, without using a full swing and are usually played with a 6-, 7-, 8- or 9-iron or pitching wedge. They are frequently engaged as short approach or distance lay-up shot, or a shot to get the ball out of a hazard.
[youtube:V-fntlg3NNA;The Benifits of[link:Golf Lessons];http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-fntlg3NNA&feature=related]

Draw Shot: – A shot that happens when a right-handed player curves the ball to go from right to left. This shot is frequently played intentionally by good golfers. When a shot has too many draws or draws inadvertently it is referred to as a hook.

Drive Shot: – A shot commonly taken from the tee, but in some conditions can be taken from the fairway. The aim of the drive shot is to move the golf ball the ultimate distance possible towards the green. An amateur golfer may drive the ball 200-250 yards. However, master golfers can achieve drives of 300 yards or more. A driver is the furthest hitting club and is also known as a wood.

Fade Shot: – This is the opposite of a draw where a right-handed player shapes the ball to go from left to right. A left-handed player fades a ball from right to left. Too much fade or unwitting fade is known as a slice. A slice is the most common hindrance for amateur golfers. A ball can also be hit awfully during a swing, resulting in a substandard and often awkward shot: nonetheless, a fade is often a shot played on purpose and is even the preferable ball flight for some of the respectable golfers in the world.

Fat Shot: – A shot which occurs when the club hits the ground before the ball resulting in digging up a lot of turf and taking the power out of the shot, and the ball does not move the desired distance. The fat shot is the opposite of thin shot. A thin shot may be played calculatingly by a skilled player, a fat shot is never played and the outcomes are hardly ever good quality.

Flop Shot:- The flop shot is a high shot that lands lightly onto the green. The ball takes a very high arching flight compared to the distance it travels forwards. Flop shots are used when the player requires the ball to stop punctually on hitting the ground.

Lay-Up Shot:- The goal of a lay-up is to leave the ball in a good situation to make the present shot safer or the next shot easier to carry out. A illustration would be if there was a water hazard amongst the fairway and the green, a player could possibly lay-up on the fairway near to the water hazard to avert incurring a penalty by landing in the water, and take a second shot from there to land on green. Lay up shots are a common element in good course management.

Punch Shot:- This shot is commonly used in windy conditions, to prevent the direction of the shot lower than expected. The ball is played farther back in the stance with a shorter follow-through. The player often chokes down on the club that is used. This is when a golfer looses his nerve and therefore, plays an crucial or hard shot badly.

Put Shot: – A shot played on the green, commonly with a putter. This is a short distance shot intended to roll the ball along the ground into a hole and is normally performed on the green.. accurate putting can repeatedly make or break a round of golf.

Shank Shot: – This occurs when a golfer hits the ball with the heel of a golf club other than the club face. This will cause the ball to radically veer off to the right for a right-handed player or the left for a left-handed player. A shank is one of the worst miss-hits in golf; in fact, many golfers do not even like saying the word out loud.

Top Shot: – (Thin shot): a poor shot when the club hits the ball above its horizontal centre, resulting in a shallow flight path. How severe the top is determines how far the ball will go.

The most important thing about learning golf is the spirit of wanting to know and learn more about the golf shots. After all, there are many outlets that may have the best golf tips for you. would like to recommend Masters Golf Secrets that features tips and advise for the beginner as well as the seasoned golfer.

Florida and golf are a natural combination. Despite the summer rains, Florida is known as the Sunshine State for a reason. Many towns experience more than 300 days of sunshine a year. For golfing enthusiasts, Florida is a veritable paradise.

The central Florida communities of Kissimmee, Davenport, Clermont, and Orlando boast a huge number of excellent golf courses. Many of the finest golfers in the world reside in this part of the country. Tiger Woods? main residence is just southwest of Orlando. In fact, Orlando itself is home to nearly 90 public golf courses and a host of private courses. Beyond the famed theme parks, family attractions and plentiful beach rentals, golf is a major part of the central Florida experience.

Eagle Creek is a Scottish style course located just southeast of the Orlando International Airport. It features revetted bunkers and other aspects of golf that can usually only be found in Scotland. The Grande Pines Golf Club is located near Sea World in central Orlando, just off International Drive. Recently renovated, the course was considered to be one of the best before the redesign, and is now frequently showered with praise from professionals and amateur golfers alike.

Of course, Orlando is just one town in central Florida where golfing is important to the tourist market. Davenport, a small town located on US Highway 17/92 in Polk County, southwest of Orlando, has unexpectedly top-quality courses. The Ridgewood Golf Club at Davenport was voted one of Florida?s top 30 courses. The course was established by Ted McAnlis and has an extraordinary reputation. The club offers Champions Turf greens, new bunkers, leveled tee boxes and the sort of luxuriant landscaping that golfers in Florida have come to insist on.

Another Scottish style course in the area is the Highlands Reserve Golf Resort north of Davenport. This course boasts exceptional scenery and is located on one of the highest spots in Florida. Old Florida citrus trees adorn the edges of the course and scattered pines are reminiscent of courses in the Carolinas.

Kissimmee, Florida is nearly adjacent to Orlando and is commonly used by visitors as a center of operations when traveling to the points of interest in Orlando. But Kissimmee has plenty to offer in its own right, including the Kissimmee Bay Country Club which was recognized as one of America?s Best New Courses by Golf Digest in the 1990s. The course is 11 miles from the Orlando Airport and contains the physical beauty of a lakeside setting shaded by sprawling oak trees and abundant wildlife. Kissimme presents the kind of romantic travel you may be searching for while also incorporating family fun.

The neighboring city of Clermont maintains nine public courses, which is a spectacular number for a town of only 13,000 people. The more well-known of these courses include The Legends Golf and Country Club, Kings Ridge Golf Club, Swiss Fairways, Green Valley Country Club, and Sanctuary Ridge Golf.

Located on the southern Gulf Coast of “The Sunshine State”, Naples, Florida is a community with class, sophistication, and a great dose of unhurried living. Naples just seems to progress at a slower tempo than some of the other resort towns along Florida?s coast. The city has galleries, chic boutiques and bistros that are a few of the best in the area, as well as outdoor recreation and activities. The family oriented visitor activities of Orlando and Daytona are replaced in Naples by beaches, fishing, shopping, and golf.

Naples has a surprising amount of beach vacation rentals and golf courses, given its relatively small size. Most of the courses will be enjoyed in the suburbs, although the Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club, in the middle of Naples, offers a respectably challenging 18 holes. Reservations for a tee time should be made well in advance.
The Eagle Lakes Golf Club in Naples is centrally situated and is known as one of the more challenging community courses in the region. The 18-hole course features 7,150 yards to play, from the longest tees, and has a par of 71. The course was designed in 2006 by Bruce Devlin.

The Links of Naples was opened in 2000 and was designed by Signature Golf. Signature continues to administer the 18-hole course. The Links has 4,000 yards of golf and a par of 61. The course rating is 58.7 and opinions imply that the night golf option is particularly popular as the entirety of the course is illuminated for night play.

A short distance away, the Golf Club at Fiddler?s Creek offers guests 7,157 yards of play on 18 holes. The course was designed by Arthur Hills and opened in 2002. The general manager is Ron Albeit and comments for the course are very positive.

Ten miles from the middle of Naples, the Hammock Bay Golf Course at Hammock Bay is well known for its exceptional assortment of holes and excellent turf. The course is 7,000 yards long and has a par of 72. It was designed by Bruce Devlin and Robert von Hagge in 2004. The rates in the busy season can be rather expensive, but it is relatively affordable in the off-season.

Finally, the Lely Resort Golf and Country Club is situated just southeast of Naples and has been in operation since 1991. The course is part of a complete resort which contains 2 further championship courses, 3 resort style pools, 7 tennis courts, a spa and fitness center, 4 clubhouses, and 12 neighborhoods. The course is open to the community and features 7,217 yards of golf and a par of 72 . Centrally located bed breakfasts are conveniently near to the golf courses as well as the seashore. If not everyone in your family desires to spend their days golfing, Naples is also home to some of the finest beaches on the Gulf Coast, unique shopping, and a relaxed nightlife with delicious dining establishments, lounges, and clubs.

These balls are in high demand with professional golf players who use them to pull off accurate hits over long distances as well as spinning it into the greens. For a professional player who wants to win a tournament golf balls are equipment and no expense is too large if victory depends on it. For the casual, recreational golfer, there are alternatives on the market today that offer satisfactory performance without emptying your wallet.

In case you really want to have in your game the performance that only the top-notch golf balls can give, then buying recycled ones is a good alternative. Of course, because these balls are slightly used, they might have some slight imperfections, but they’ll work just find for weekend players. And for just 1/3 of the price new balls have you can purchase three dozen recycled top triple A grade balls. So you practically get the best performance without paying the full price for golf balls that are rated as the best on the market.

Of course, there are lots of different models that you can buy for a lot less than the premium-quality balls, should you want new golf balls for your game. They have a softer cover but they still roll well on the course and cover the same distances as pro balls. You can find these golf balls in any department store and you don’t have to pay more than $20 for a dozen of them.

If you know which is the right ball for your game, then you won’t have any trouble in picking one. If you’re trying to straighten out a hook or fix a slice then a ball that spins too much is the last thing you want. So if you want to achieve a tap-in putt you need to develop a feel for the fairway, and to do that then you will need to play with softer balls at first.

It really doesn’t matter what brand of golf ball you opt for. If you like the way the top golf ball performs you can opt for recycled ones, however, if you want to have brand new balls you can purchase another brand of ball and still play a good game.

The Panama City Beach motto is “The World’s Most Beautiful Beaches”, and that is precisely what you will find in this seaside town of 15,000 year round residents on Florida’s panhandle. Fishing is one of the more prevalent pastimes in Panama City Beach. Charters are a great way to sail the calm waters of the Gulf of Mexico and to experience the excitement of sport fishing. Panama City Beach has numerous charter boats and companies that will cater to a variety of requests, whether all day or overnight fishing tours or short half day family trips, the marinas at Panama City Beach have tours for everyone. Beach rentals are all the better when you take back pictures of your prize catch and the delicious feast it provides.

As with much of Florida, golf is a main attraction. Common temperatures in the region hover around 74 degrees and the sun shines 320 days a year, so there are very few vacation destinations more appealing for the enthusiastic golfer. Panama City Beach and the larger, neighboring Panama City are home to six championship golf courses and the city is regularly rated in the top three golfing getaways in the United States by Golf Digest. Some of the more notable courses include the Bay Point Marriott Golf Resort and Spa which maintains the Club Meadows Course and the Nicklaus Resort Course.

The Callaway Bay Golf Club receives consistently high ratings. Signal Hill Golf Course and Bay Dunes are good values with relatively easy play, so they are suitable for families out for a fun day of golf. For majestic scenery, the Pelican Point Golf Course and Nature Walk Golf Course are definitely worth a visit. All of these golf courses have great bed breakfasts to stay at with gorgeous views.

As you may imagine, seafood is the culinary area of expertise in Panama City Beach. Panama City Beach and neighboring Panama City host many of the finest restaurants in the region. From relaxed cafes on the sand to gourmet bistros and five star restaurants, Panama City Beach is an excellent vacation spot for a culinary enthusiast.

The Boar’s Head Restaurant on Beach Front Road is well known for surf and turf. The Montego Bay Seafood House is a long standing local favorite and has a notorious raw oyster bar. The Saltwater Grill on Middle Beach Road offers more elegant fare, with a romantic atmosphere and a famed 25,000 gallon tropical saltwater aquarium. Of course, these are just a handfull of the many restaurants that can be discovered in Panama City Beach.

Golf is getting more and more popular. Golf has been long seen as a sport for businessmen to get together and bond, but it’s become a pastime for anyone. Golf, as a career path, has been increasing over the last few years with the induction of nationally renowned golf schools. The following are ways to become a profession golfer.

Make sure you have some knowledge of the game before you begin. Being familiar with the sport is important when making decisions regarding it in your future. You must love the sport enough to make it your career path, and make a commitment to it. If you enjoy spending much of your time on a driving range, golf may be a great career choice for you. If you’re not sure about it, you don’t want to jump into a golf career.
<!--
google_ad_client = "pub-5273744624101923";

Make sure to have a backup plan. Being a pro golfer isn’t impossible, but it can get tricky. That’s not implying that you can’t do it. Many golf careers don’t require fame. Make sure that your education and experiences leave your options open.

Start with a good education from a good school. As with any career, a good education is important in the golf career. A golf school may be beneficial to a golfer. An employer will see golf degree and know that you have the experience over someone else. Also, by getting a degree in it, it shows that you have a lasting interest in the sport. Getting a golf degree proves that you really want the job.

You should gain as much experience as possible. Your degree says a lot, but work history says more. Working in the industry before graduation will give you a leg up after. To get experience while in school, look into an internship. While you’re in school, you might be offered a job to gain experience while in school.

Have fun with it! The point of a golf career is to earn money doing something you find fun. You can ruin the enjoyment of golf if you stress out. Keep your chin up and keep having fun at work. You are where you are because you want to be.

Looking for a crystal lake dentist or dentist crystal lake? You’ll find it here.

The Open Championship is the oldest major championships in the field of professional golf, and is played on a rotating basis at one of nine courses across the UK.

After the first championship was held in 1860 the championship has been played on a yearly basis, except from during the two World Wars and in 1871. The competition has been played at 14 courses, including St Andrews in Scotland, Royal Liverpool Golf Club in Hoylake & Royal St George’s in Kent, and five courses including Prestwick & Musselburgh Links are no longer on the rotation.

The field for the open is 156 golfers and there are three ways those who want to participate can gain a place in the competition. Two thirds of the participants are made up of leading players who are given exemptions in order to ensure that the top professionals are guaranteed a place in the competition.

The remaining third is made up of players who take part in the Local Qualifying which is made up of Regional Qualifying and International Qualifying. Regional Qualifying describes the 16 18-hole competitions around Britain & Ireland that take place just before the event, with 12 places available and International Qualifying comprises of 36-hole qualifiers, with one held in Africa, Australia, Asia, America & Europe.

International Qualifying has tougher entry rules than Regional Qualifying, as it is only those players who have an Official World Golf Rankings rating who are permitted to enter, but for those eligible there are 36 places available split across the 5 venues.

The golfer who has won the most Open Championships is Harry Vardon, of England, who won six tournaments between 1896 and 1914, closely followed by renowned golfer and course designer James Braid who along with John Henry Taylor (ENG), Peter Thomson (AUS) & Tom Watson (USA) has won 5 titles.

The next competition is the 140th Edition in 2011, which will be held at Royal St George, in Sandwich in Kent.

Mere Country Club, a topCheshire golf club was a venue for the recent Reginal Qualifyers. It also makes a great course to take out a corporate golf membership at.

My targets have helped me reach where I am. There have been times when I have achieved what I had set out for but there have also been times when I just missed my goal. These successes and failures have been my stepping stones to success.

I have written this article to guide you on how to set goals for yourself. Personally I am impressed by Leslie Cameron?s methodology and would recommend it to all. To start with, set a goal that is ?achievable? rather than setting an unachievable goal for you. Research and see if anyone prior to you has been able to achieve the same goal. If no, what is the basis on which you feel you shall be able to do it? The answers to these questions would give you clarity on whether your targets are reasonable or not.

IS ACHIEVING THIS GOAL WITHIN MY CONTROL? Booking golf instruction lessons with your coach to improve technique, is within your control, so is the effort you put into practice. ARE THE COSTS AND CONSEQUENCES OF REACHING THE GOAL ACCEPTABLE TO ME? Sometimes stepping up a level in golf may mean time away from family or friends, or may break up your regular Saturday playing group. Is that acceptable to you?

DO YOU HAVE ALL THE RESOURCES YOU NEED TO ACHIEVE YOUR GOAL? Is your golf swing good enough? If not, can you find an instructor to refine it? Are you physically in the right shape? Do you need to improve your flexibility, stability and strength? Take the time to make sure you have everything you need to achieve your goal.

Lastly, analyze the time that would be spent in achieving your goal. Not all goals can be achieved immediately. Are you ready to wait and would you be happy if you get it at a much later date? If the answer is no then you need to re-evaluate your goals. Set a goal that is achievable and gives you happiness and not frustration.

1. What are my expectations from my life and where do I wish to be?

2) Is it achievable?

3. What indicators would tell me that I have fulfilled my goal?

4) Is achieving this goal within my control?

5. Am I ready to bear the compromises and costs for this?

6. Are the resources to achieve the target under my control?

7) If I could have my goal now, or at the appopriate time, would I take it?

Answer these and get ready to achieve your targets.

Don’t be left out in the cold without a golf cart heater. Shop smart and buy a Coleman golf cart heater without breaking the bank.

Golf holidays in Portugal have long been one of the most sort after, thanks to the top quality courses, hotels and resorts that line the Portuguese coastline. The Algarve is renowned for its golf, and also benefits from a fantastic year round climate that is perfect for foreign golf holiday.

For larger groups, the action packed town of Vilamoura is the best destination. In addition to the nightlife that is focused on the marina, Vilamoura has seven championship golf courses. Choosing from the Algarve’s endless golfing delights can be tricky, but some recommendations are the Penina resort, Dona Filipa, which boasts San Lorenzo, arguably the country’s best track, and the relatively new Monte Rei development in the Algarve’s east.

If you are prepared to make a longer journey, sunny golf holidays are to be found on the charming island of Madeira, but the emerging star of Portuguese golf is the Lisbon coast. The Atlantic shoreline has awe-inspiring courses including Oitavos, in addition to first class golf resorts like Quinta da Marinha and Praia D’El Rey. With the old favourites being supplanted by fantastic new venues, golf in Portugal is as popular as ever, and remains one of the best destinations for a golf holiday in the sun.

The expansion of low cost airline routes has meant the coast around Portugal’s capital city has become a great golfing escape. Now Lisbon is beginning to come on par with its close rival the Algarve who has for a long time been the European destination of choice. Established resorts to the south of Lisbon such as Aroeira and new resorts like Praia D’El Ray and Campo Real have placed the region on the golfing map. Top quality courses such as Oitavos and Quinta da Marinha mean that while playing some of the best courses in Europe, you can also take in some of the genuine Portuguese culture. The city of Lisbon is a vibrant hub of cultural activity with a mix of traditional Portuguese charm coupled with the young thriving urban environment.

The Algarve is synonymous with golf, with a remarkable collection of first class championship courses and amazing resorts strung along the sun-kissed coastline. Faro, well serviced from most major airports, is the starting point for your Algarve golf holiday, and is within an hour of almost all the most attractive destinations. The brightest star on the Algarve is Vilamoura, a delightful harbour town that has been transformed into a comprehensive golf complex. Surrounding Vilamoura is a host revered golfing names – Quinta Do Lago, San Lorenzo and Vale Do Lobo are the cream of the crop along this remarkable golfing paradise. Alternatives to Vilamoura include Tavira to the east, whose highlight is the amazing Nicklaus-designed Monte Rei, while to the west, the star of the show is Penina, one of Europe’s favourite golf resorts.

Given its location off the North-Western coast of Africa, Madeira benefits from a lovely year-round climate, and thanks to this has long been established as a beautiful holiday destination. The capital city of Funchal is a charming blend of the quintessential Madeiran culture and the new vibrancy of increased tourism, while around the island are natural landscapes of outstanding natural beauty. Spectacular mountain views are characteristic of the island, but Madeira is also blessed with some terrific hotels and two superb golf courses. Santo da Serra has for some years hosted the finest talent that the PGA European Tour has to offer for the Madeira Open, while Palheiro Golf Club affords fine views over the capital city and the Atlantic coastline. These options have put Madeira on the golfing map, and make it an interesting choice as an alternative to the Canary Islands or the Portuguese mainland for a golf holiday in the sun.
