At long last you have made your decision to play golf. The question now is, how passionate are you in this game? Or how long are you going to play? Moreover, it is also important to know if you are planning to make golf a part of your daily or weekly habit. Then again, whatever your reasons are or your plans for this game, it is important that you have what you need on your first golf experience.

If you are really into playing this game, then the first thing that you will need is golf clubs. This probably sounds new to you. Golf clubs are not a place just like the club houses that are present in any subdivision and the like. Instead, golf clubs are the sticks that you will need to hit the golf ball towards your target – the hole.

There are five types of golf clubs and each type has its own unique function on the golf course. The five types of golf clubs are the woods, irons, wedges, putters and hybrids. However, for this article, let us discuss about buying your first golf iron.

Here are some essential tips for you to remember in buying your first golf iron:

- You should once again know the frequency or number of times that you think you will be playing on the golf course. If you think that you don’t have enough time, passion, or energy in playing that much, then it would be better if you consider just borrowing to your friends or buying second hand golf irons. Besides, you won’t be using them that often. But, if you have no money issues, then just go on and buy all the clubs that you want.

- You must know your financial limitations. This is somewhat related with the first tip, it’s just that this pays more focus on the money than the times that you will be playing golf. Then again, this is important to consider since let’s just say you are still a beginner, I think you don’t have to buy all 14 clubs or the most expensive clubs. Besides, you still don’t know as to how long are you going to last in playing golf.

- You should know how to determine the shaft that is best for you. Having just the right shaft for your golf iron can increase your accuracy and distance. But if you have a poorly suited iron then it will just lead to wayward shots. The two most important things to consider in a shaft are its composition and flex. You can choose between a shaft made of graphite which is soft and a shaft made of steel which is harder. If you are a beginner, you should go for the graphite shaft.

- Your height and your arm are also two things that you must consider in choosing the shaft of your golf iron. The length of your club can be determined by measuring the distance of the tip of your middle finger to the ground. Again, the result will give you the length of the shaft of your golf club.

- Use your chance to ask around and shop around. You can ask your friends or anyone that you know who plays golf for suggestions. It is a good idea to gather what these people will have to say. If you are ready to buy, make sure that you do some window shopping first or hop from one shop to another and compare prices. Of course, before you go out you should have a budget in mind that you will need to follow so that you will not end up being short of money to buy the other things that you need.

Barry Rogers has been in the field of golf iron sets for a long time and maintains a website about golf irons where you can get answers to the rest of your questions.

Golf drivers are indispensable equipment in golf, any golfer will agree with this statement. However, if you are still beginning to play golf and you are not yet familiar as to what drivers look like, then I should say you just have to find the club with the biggest head and the longest in length – that is the golf driver.

If at this time you are thinking of buying your golf driver then don’t make your decision too fast. I think it can still wait for a minute or two of deeper thinking. I know you want to know about the top quality drivers for this year. That is why you are reading this article, but again before that I think it will be a good idea to know first the things to consider in buying a good driver.

The first thing that you should consider aside from knowing the best golf drivers for 2010 is to look into the level of your expertise. This will help in guiding you to buy the driver that will suit your skills in playing the game. If you are a beginner then the best choice for you are the drivers with big heads. Drivers with big heads can help you hit the ball easier, as well as in making sure that your ball lands on a sweet spot. If you are an advanced player, a driver with titanium head will be the best choice for you.

With all the choices available out there, choosing the best drivers for you won’t be that easy. Besides, it has really never been easy. One thing that you should always put in mind while choosing a driver is the function of the driver that you are seeking it for. Some players want speed, force and distance while others want accuracy in their golf swings. It’s up to you as to which function of the golf driver will you go for.

However, you must also know that your experience will be the best determining factor for you to know as to what driver is the best for you. The functions, shapes and appearance of the drivers will just fall next to your personal experience in handling different drivers. At this point of time, let us have a peek into 5 of the best golf drivers for 2010 regardless of personal preferences:

1. The Adams Speeding Fast 10 driver Great ball speed and drive distance plus a lesser drag of about 10% due to the increased head curvature and a larger clubface are some of the features of this driver. Adams Speeding Fast 10 driver really lives up to its name being the driver to generate the longest distance in the Adams Speeding drivers.

2. The Callaway Big Bertha Diablo Edge driver The promise of this golf driver is in giving you a distance advantage every time you tee it up. Yet aside from that, this club also has the highest moment of inertia (MOI) and deepest center of gravity (CG) among all the Callaway golf drivers. Moreover, it can lead you towards having a higher impact speed due to its reduced drag.

3. The Callaway FT-IZ With the weight replacement technoly that was applied in this driver, as well as the high-end materials that were used for their production such as titanium, cured carbon fiber and formed aluminum cast and steel, these drivers don’t only give a good feel to the golfer, but it can also satisfy them if they are looking for drivers with stunning appearance. Moreover, this driver has far more benefits aside from the fact that this driver was designed to be longer and straighter than the rest of the drivers made by Callaway.

4. The Cleveland Launcher DST Having a longer shaft (45.75″) and a lighter weight gives this driver an increased swing speed. More so, an over-all distance of about 3-10 yards could be reached by its faster clubhead speed and with a deeper center of gravity, this driver has a higher MOI and straighter drives.

5. The Cobra ZL The ZL in the name of this driver stands for Zero Limits, which was the mindset of the engineers who built it. As such, the driver is said to be the most innovative and the highest performing driver ever made by Cobra golf. It was designed to help all golfers to reach more distance, and it was engineered to have three simple face-angle settings (Open, Neutral, Closed) which allows golfers to optimize their trajectory.

The 5 drivers presented here are just a few of the best drivers for this year. But, then again, the best determinant in looking for the driver that will be best for you is still your personal experience with different drivers. Besides, we have different perspectives as to which are the best, as well as which are the ones which we are comfortable using. As the old saying says, “one man’s meat maybe another man’s poison.

The iron is genuinely the vital item of your bag. The capability to control and form your iron shots is what will define your game. It’s fantastic to be an adept driver of the ball. However, unless you find the greens from your positions, it will all be in vain.

Make sure you choose the proper set of irons for your level of skills before you go out onto the golf course

Irons make up approximately 8-9 of the clubs in our golf bags, so determining the right set for you can have a considerable betterment on your game.

There are different types of irons and diverse specifications you are offered in your quest to find golf’s Holy Grail, the authentic set of irons! However, we have investigated the “The La Jolla Club Irons”
La Jolla Club Knife Irons

The La Jolla Club Golf Company has finally fashioned what thousands of professional and amateur golfers have been searching for. For years golfers have been demanding to find an iron that delivers the very best in what they need.

They ask an iron that allows them to systematically, combine the two most vital elements of the golf game: distance and accuracy. Hundreds of companies have attempted to create this nearly inconceivable combination, but with very diverse, and often disappointing, results.

Repeatedly, golfers have had to forfeit distance for accuracy. The La Jolla Club Knife Irons, the most improbable attributes have been to combine near flawlessness. The iron’s 3-blade design does a fantastic job of allowing you to keep your swing steady and consistent.

The event is an unmistakable improvement in how far the ball travels, as well as in how exact your shots are. However, because of its technologically innovative design which features a hollow core, you will find that all of your shots are favoured with a substantial increase in forgiveness.

That, with the iron’s low centre of gravity, gives you the skill to increase your shot’s trajectory, as well as its accuracy. The La Jolla Club Knife Irons are designed for all levels of expertise.

The most fundamental point about learning golf is the spirit of wanting to know and learn more about the golf . After all, there are many outlets that may have the best golf tips for you. I would recommend Masters Golf Secrets that features tips and advise for the beginner as well as the seasoned golfer.
When choosing your first set of golf clubs it is going to come down to research and education which will make a massive difference in finding the right set for you. In the last decade there has been a ton of advancement in technology that has allowed basically every golf company on the planet to design clubs that are designed for the beginning golfer which allow much more forgiveness than golf clubs of the past. Being new to the sport it is essential that you choose a set of clubs that matches your ability and will allow you to grow as a player.

Now almost every department store offers what is known as beginner golfer sets and if you are only playing a couple of times a year than it does make some sense to purchase this option but they are not going to have the beginner help featured in major golf companies clubs. Now if you think that golf is going to be part of your life than you should be checking out companies such as Nike or Callaway who have designed clubs meant for the beginning golfer and will make the game that much more enjoyable and even though they are priced a bit harder it will pay off in the long run in terms of enjoyment and advancing your skill level. Since golf has become so popular a lot of major golf companies club sets continue to be introduced to the market at a much lower price point than clubs of the past.

Do not purchase a high end professional golf set as your starter set for these clubs are designed for the player with a ton of skill and experience. By buying a player set will not speed up your skill level but do the complete opposite. Focus on game improvement golf sets and start the journey from there.

To choose your first set of golf clubs it will come down to how often you are going to play, which clubs best suit your skill level and what you feel most comfortable with. Learn as much as you can about the differences between golf sets on the marketplace and in the end you will make the right decision for you.

My targets have helped me reach where I am. There have been times when I have achieved what I had set out for but there have also been times when I just missed my goal. These successes and failures have been my stepping stones to success.

I have written this article to guide you on how to set goals for yourself. Personally I am impressed by Leslie Cameron?s methodology and would recommend it to all. To start with, set a goal that is ?achievable? rather than setting an unachievable goal for you. Research and see if anyone prior to you has been able to achieve the same goal. If no, what is the basis on which you feel you shall be able to do it? The answers to these questions would give you clarity on whether your targets are reasonable or not.

IS ACHIEVING THIS GOAL WITHIN MY CONTROL? Booking golf instruction lessons with your coach to improve technique, is within your control, so is the effort you put into practice. ARE THE COSTS AND CONSEQUENCES OF REACHING THE GOAL ACCEPTABLE TO ME? Sometimes stepping up a level in golf may mean time away from family or friends, or may break up your regular Saturday playing group. Is that acceptable to you?

DO YOU HAVE ALL THE RESOURCES YOU NEED TO ACHIEVE YOUR GOAL? Is your golf swing good enough? If not, can you find an instructor to refine it? Are you physically in the right shape? Do you need to improve your flexibility, stability and strength? Take the time to make sure you have everything you need to achieve your goal.

Lastly, analyze the time that would be spent in achieving your goal. Not all goals can be achieved immediately. Are you ready to wait and would you be happy if you get it at a much later date? If the answer is no then you need to re-evaluate your goals. Set a goal that is achievable and gives you happiness and not frustration.

1. What are my expectations from my life and where do I wish to be?

2) Is it achievable?

3. What indicators would tell me that I have fulfilled my goal?

4) Is achieving this goal within my control?

5. Am I ready to bear the compromises and costs for this?

6. Are the resources to achieve the target under my control?

7) If I could have my goal now, or at the appopriate time, would I take it?

Answer these and get ready to achieve your targets.

Don’t be left out in the cold without a golf cart heater. Shop smart and buy a Coleman golf cart heater without breaking the bank.

Having the right set of clubs is vital to a good game of golf. You will need the right size, type and weight for you and your game. When researching different types of clubs, you’ll want to spend the most time considering your putter. When playing golf, you’ll end up spending almost have your time putting, making it a highly important club in your set. The difference between the right putter and the wrong putter is the difference between a great game, and a game full of frustration. Check out a few things to consider before you buy your new putter.

Length: The length is the first thing you need to consider when buying your putter. Most putters come in a range of 33 – 36 inches. When testing out what size is right for you, it important to rest the clubhead on the ground to get a feel for it. If the length is too short you will have to stand too close to the ball and the heel of the putter might come off the ground. If the length is too long, you will end up standing too far away from the ball and the toe of the putter will come up. The length is incredibly important – the putter should fit you and your stance and you should not have to adjust yourself to your putter.
Head Design: There are quite a few different head designs you can choose from when purchasing your next putter. One design that you will see most frequently is the blade putter. This design has been around for many years and is universally used by both professionals and amateurs. The head gives the putter a nice, soft hit, making it great for any type of green you will play on. For a more weighted option, you can go for the mallet putter which helps reduce backspin on your putt through the lower, deeper center of gravity. Finally, you might want to consider a heel-toe weighted putter which is favored by professionals and amateurs. This putter is more suited to golfers who have a real in and out stroke.

When considering the face and insert of the putter, you will want to think about things like, how forgiving you want your putter to be, how straight you want the ball to roll and the type of feedback you receive. For a very controlled, soft hit, a great choice is the metal face made from any variety of metals. For a forgiving, smooth roll, consider going with a insert face putter. This type of putter is made with metal but has a non-metal insert. Finally, when researching putters you may come across grooved face putters. These are used by professionals who want a very accurate, very straight roll.

The grip of your putter is another consideration to take into account. While it may not seem like a big deal, it can actually advance or hinder your game depending on whether you have the right one for you. You will see that the majority of putter grips are flat on top. This actually helps you with your swing by making it easier to find the placement of your thumbs. For people who have a stroke that involves a bit of wrist action, a skinnier grip might be ideal on the putter. However, most professionals prefer thicker grips that help take your hands out of the stroke.

Find impressive deals on a variety putters. We have a huge variety of the best brands around at competitive prices.
Titleist Newport Putter – The company’s Newport style putter features bold red tour graphics with a great improvement in the high toe profile. It also has integrated heel & toe circular sole weights so there are several options for adjusting lengths in each of the sub models.

This putter provides additional stability since the head rotation is limited, giving less impact on off-centre. Both the standard and heavier (+10g) heads are available for the 34 and the 35 inches models. Additionally, the golfer can easily master their aim at the left side of the target since the need to raise their toe is reduced.

Studio putters are available in three properly matched head weight to shaft length combinations from the company. A left handed Newport 2 and a Squareback 1 are types in this category.

Titleist Kombi Putter – This advanced putter is a hammer design and features a 6061 aircraft aluminum body, and is available in Standard, Mid and Long models. These Kombi putters feature weight stabilization and weight to length ratios in such a manner that the center of gravity locates itself deep inside, to give the player a great stroke. Also, the shape of this putter is pleasing and also makes the face alignment easy. The visual thickness is greatly reduced because of the high contrast T shaped sightline.

Titleist California Putter – These putters derive their inspiration from the Cameron’s early handmade designs. These classic designs have been proven to give tour winning performances in the past and now. The new California lineup of Titleist putters are surely something to look for while going putter shopping.

Golf is a really popular sport at the moment. People of all ages can enjoy it, and it is something you can enjoy without having to exhaust yourself out and get all sweaty, perfect for a relaxing summers evening, or a quick few holes at lunch. If you want to beat your friends though then you are going to need some lessons to help develop your skills. What most people don’t realize though is that your clubs can have a big effect on how you play too, if you have the wrong sort of clubs it can be a disaster.

A golf club has a ‘sweet spot’ which is the optimum place on the club head to strike the ball. If you hit the ball with that area then it should go straight and really far, if you hit it outside of that area then expect to go hunting for your ball in the rough or a tree somewhere! Different clubs will have different sized sweet spots based on their design.

A good example of the difference between clubs is the blade design which is what the pros use. Now a pro has the ability to hit the ball just how they want it, so the sweet spot on these clubs is really small. That means when they want the ball to go straight they have the skill to use the sweet spot, but when they want to shape their shot then they can intentionally hit outside of that spot to get the ball to do what they want it to.

The design that most people will recognize is the cavity back design, that is what most players will use. This cavity back design has a much larger sweet spot than the blade design to help the rest of us who don’t always hit the ball in the dead center of the club face. The larger sweet spot is created by increasing the MOI (moment of inertia) of the club head, by adding weight to the edges of the back of the head. This stiffens it up and stops it from twisting when you hit the ball, thus giving you a larger sweet spot.

Of course that means you can’t shape your shot as much as you could with a blade design, but I think most people who play golf at the weekend are just happy to get a long and straight shot. The cavity back design is by far the most popular type people buy, and it is a great choice for most levels of skill.

Hybrid clubs are on the other end of the spectrum to the blade design, these are a hybrid of a wood and an iron and were used instead of a low iron or high wood to give you a little more choice. Now though people have cottoned onto the fact that the design is really forgiving, and you can find whole sets of hybrid irons available to buy. If you are just starting off and even after having lessons you really struggle to get the ball to go straight, then the increased size and weight of the club head on a hybrid will really help you out, but most people should stick to the cavity back design.
